匹配病例对照研究是一种观察性流行病学设计，其中每个病例（患有目标疾病或结局的个体）与一个或多个对照（无目标结局的个体）配对，这些对照在年龄、性别或临床环境等一个或多个特征上与病例相似，以控制混杂。然后比较病例与其匹配对照的暴露史，以估计暴露-疾病关联的优势比。
