การวิเคราะห์อำนาจการทดสอบ (Power analysis) เป็นเทคนิคการวางแผนและการประเมินที่วัดปริมาณความน่าจะเป็นในการตรวจจับผลกระทบที่แท้จริงของขนาดที่กำหนด ณ ระดับนัยสำคัญที่เลือก การวิเคราะห์นี้เชื่อมโยงปริมาณสี่ประการ ได้แก่ ขนาดตัวอย่าง ขนาดผลกระทบ ระดับนัยสำคัญ (แอลฟา) และอำนาจการทดสอบทางสถิติ (หนึ่งลบเบตา) เพื่อให้นักวิจัยสามารถกำหนดขนาดตัวอย่างที่จำเป็นก่อนการเก็บรวอข้อมูล หรือประเมินความไวของการศึกษาที่เสร็จสมบูรณ์แล้ว
