Kipimo cha RPE cha Kipindi (sRPE) ni njia rahisi, inayomzingatia mwanamichezo, ya kupima mzigo wa mazoezi kwa kuchanganya kiwango cha juhudi kinachoonekana (RPE, kipimo cha 0-10) na muda wa kipindi. Imeanzishwa na Carl Foster (2001), sRPE inazuia hitaji la vifaa vya nje (vichunguzi vya mapigo ya moyo, GPS, sahani za nguvu) na inashughulikia mahitaji yaliyounganishwa ya kisaikolojia na kisaikolojia ya njia yoyote ya mafunzo.
