Romlig tilbøyelighetsskårematching (Spatial PSM) utvider det klassiske rammeverket for tilbøyelighetsskårematching til situasjoner der enheter er innebygd i geografisk rom og tildeling av behandling eller utfall kan være romlig korrelert. Ved å inkludere romlige kovariater og nabostruktur i tilbøyelighetsmodellen og matchingprosedyren, produserer den kausale estimater som tar hensyn til geografisk konfundering og spilloeffekter.
