Latente Klasse Analyse (LKA)
Latente klasse analyse identificeert onwaargenomen subgroepen — latente klassen — binnen een populatie door patronen van responsen te vinden over een reeks van categorische geobserveerde indicatoren. Het is de tegenhanger van clusteranalyse voor categorische variabelen, maar dan gebaseerd op een expliciet probabilistisch model, en wordt veel gebruikt in de sociale wetenschappen, gezondheidswetenschappen en gedragswetenschappen om typologieën te ontdekken in enquête- of diagnostische gegevens.
