순서형 탐색적 요인 분석은 항목들 간의 다변량 상관관계를 계산하고 가중 최소 제곱 추정치를 적용하여, 순서형 항목들 — 일반적으로 리커트 척도 — 의 집합 아래에 있는 잠재 요인을 발견합니다. 이는 연속형 EFA 방법이 순서형 범주형 응답에 순진하게 적용될 때 발생하는 왜곡을 피합니다.
