Central Composite Design — Responsfladedesigns

Central Composite Design (CCD) er et andetordens responsfladedesign, der gør det muligt for forskere effektivt at tilpasse en fuld kvadratisk model, der relaterer flere kontinuerlige inputfaktorer til en eller flere responsvariable. Introduceret af Box og Wilson i 1951, kombinerer det en faktoriel (eller brøkdel af en faktoriel) kerne, aksiale (stjerne) punkter og centerpunktreplikater i et enkelt samlet design, hvilket gør det til det mest anvendte design til procesoptimering inden for ingeniørvidenskab, kemi og produktion.
