การวิเคราะห์เครือข่ายสังคมแบบถ่วงน้ำหนัก (Weighted Social Network Analysis - WSNA) เป็นการขยายขอบเขตของการวิเคราะห์เครือข่ายสังคมแบบดั้งเดิม (Social Network Analysis - SNA) โดยการกำหนดค่าตัวเลข หรือน้ำหนัก ให้กับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้แสดง (actors) เพื่อสะท้อนความเข้มแข็งของความสัมพันธ์ ความถี่ของการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ หรือการไหลของทรัพยากร แทนที่จะพิจารณาการเชื่อมโยงทั้งหมดว่ามีความสำคัญเท่ากัน WSNA ช่วยเปิดเผยว่าใครดำรงตำแหน่งที่มีอิทธิพลพิเศษ โดยอาศัยความเข้มข้น ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่การมีอยู่ของความสัมพันธ์นั้นๆ
