Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling
Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling (ESEM) er en hybridtilnærming som kombinerer eksplorativ faktoranalyse (EFA) med konfirmatorisk faktoranalyse (CFA) og stismodellering, utviklet av Asparouhov og Muthén (2009). ESEM fjerner restriktive null-lastingsantakelser fra tradisjonell CFA, og tillater at alle indikatorer laster på alle faktorer, noe som kan avdekke kryssfaktor-kompleksitet og forbedre modellens tilpasning, samtidig som evnen til å teste substansielle strukturelle teorier beholdes.
