Normalization Process Theory (NPT)
Normalization Process Theory (NPT)는 May, Murray 및 동료들(2009)이 개발한 프레임워크로, 새로운 실천, 기술 및 혁신이 일상적인 조직 및 임상 업무에 어떻게 통합되고 지속되는지를 설명합니다. NPT는 구현을 일회성 채택 사건으로 보는 대신, '새롭고 특이한' 상태에서 '정상적이고 일상적인 업무로 표준 프로세스에 통합된' 상태로의 점진적인 전환인 정상화 과정으로 구현을 개념화합니다. NPT는 네 가지 정상화 메커니즘을 식별합니다: 일관성(Coherence, 개입의 목적과 가치에 대한 공유된 이해), 인지적 참여(Cognitive Participation, 직원의 개입 학습 및 사용 참여), 집단 행동(Collective Action, 워크플로우 변경 및 자원 할당을 포함한 구현에 필요한 작업), 성찰적 모니터링(Reflexive Monitoring, 영향, 이점 및 필요한 조정에 대한 지속적인 성찰). NPT는 구현 과학 연구, 특히 건강 기술 구현 및 복잡한 개입 연구에서 영향력이 커졌으며, 일부 혁신이 정상화되는 반면 다른 혁신은 폐기되는 이유를 이해하기 위한 이론적 렌즈를 제공합니다.
