Information Extraction — Turning Text into Structured Records

Information extraction (IE) er en naturlig sprogbehandlingsopgave, der konverterer ustruktureret tekst til struktureret information — såsom begivenheder, relationer og attributter — således at fakta, der er begravet i fritformede dokumenter, bliver maskinlæsbare optegnelser. Opgaven blev konsolideret i tidlige oversigter af Cowie og Lehnert (1996) og senere af Grishman (2012).
