离散选择模拟是一种行为建模方法——其理论基础是Daniel McFadden在20世纪70年代形式化的随机效用理论,并由Kenneth Train扩展到基于模拟的估计——该方法估计个体如何在相互排斥的选项中进行选择,然后利用估计出的偏好参数来预测在假设的政策或市场情景下选择份额如何变化。它是交通需求分析、健康经济学、环境价值评估和市场研究中占主导地位的量化工具。
