ความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาของแบบวัดฉบับย่อ (Short-form content validity) เป็นการประเมินว่ารายการข้อคำถามที่คัดเลือกไว้ในแบบวัดฉบับย่อ ยังคงเป็นตัวแทนของทุกแง่มุมที่สำคัญของโครงสร้างที่วัดโดยเครื่องมือฉบับเต็มได้อย่างเพียงพอหรือไม่ เป็นการยืนยันว่าการย่อขนาดแบบวัดลงนั้น ไม่ได้ทำให้ขอบเขตแนวคิดที่ออกแบบไว้ถูกลดทอนลงไป
