Coarsened Exact Matching i utdanningsforskning

Coarsened Exact Matching (CEM) er en pre-prosessering-matchingstrategi som reduserer ubalanse mellom behandlings- og kontrollgrupper før utfallanalyse. I utdanningsforskning brukes den til å lage balanserte kontrollgrupper fra administrative registre, spørreundersøkelsesdata eller kvasi-eksperimentelle studiedesign – for eksempel ved å sammenligne studenter som mottok en intervensjon mot sammenlignbare studenter som ikke gjorde det, uten å stole på randomisering.
