군집 분석은 측정된 특성을 기반으로, 그룹 구성원에 대한 사전 지식 없이 객체 또는 관찰 집합을 내부적으로 동질적이고 상호 구별되는 그룹(군집)으로 분할하는 비지도 다변량 기법의 한 계열입니다. 시장 세분화, 생물정보학, 심리학, 사회과학에서 데이터 내의 자연스러운 그룹화를 밝히는 데 널리 사용됩니다.
