다수준 혼합 방법 설계는 개인이 학급에 포함되고, 학급이 학교에 포함되며, 환자가 의료팀에 포함되는 등 사회적 또는 조직적 계층 구조의 두 개 이상의 서로 다른 수준에서 양적 및 질적 데이터를 수집하고 통합하는 연구 접근법입니다. 한 수준에서의 결과에 대한 양적 측정과 다른 수준에서의 의미에 대한 질적 탐구를 짝지음으로써, 연구자는 단일 연구만으로는 제공할 수 없는 더 풍부하고 완전한 그림을 얻을 수 있습니다.
