디지털 구성주의 근거 이론(Digital Constructivist Grounded Theory, Digital CGT)은 캐시 샤마즈(Kathy Charmaz)의 구성주의적 근거 이론 변형을 소셜 미디어 플랫폼, 온라인 커뮤니티, 포럼, 디지털 인터뷰 및 기타 인터넷 매개 공간에서 생성된 데이터에 적용한다. 이는 디지털 매개 맥락에서 연구자와 참여자 간에 의미가 공동으로 구성된다고 보고, 사람들이 디지털 삶을 통해 그리고 그 안에서 경험을 이해하는 방식에 근거한 이론을 생성한다.
