야외 실험 — 실제 환경에서의 무작위 실험
야외 실험은 인공적인 실험실 환경이 아닌 자연 발생적인 실제 환경에서 무작위 통제 시험의 논리를 적용합니다. 참가자들은 일상 활동을 하면서 치료군과 통제군에 무작위로 배정되며, 이를 통해 연구자들은 높은 내적 타당도로 인과적 효과를 추정하는 동시에 실험실 환경이 제공할 수 없는 수준의 생태학적 현실성을 보존할 수 있습니다. 이 설계는 특히 경제학, 공중 보건, 정치 과학 및 개발 연구에서 두드러집니다.
