자연 실험 — 외생적 사건으로부터의 준실험적 인과 추론
자연 실험은 개인을 치료 및 통제 조건에 할당하는 실제 사건, 정책 또는 상황을 활용하며, 이는 무작위적이거나 적어도 관심 결과에 외생적이라고 볼 수 있습니다. 연구자가 할당을 통제하지 않기 때문에 진정한 무작위 통제 시험과 순전히 관찰 연구 사이의 중간 지점을 차지하며, '마치 무작위화' 가정이 충족될 때 기존 관찰 설계보다 더 강력한 인과적 영향력을 제공합니다.
