군집 무작위 A/B 테스트는 실험 설계의 한 종류로, 도시, 학교, 소셜 네트워크 커뮤니티 또는 앱 사용자 세그먼트와 같은 완전한 그룹(군집)을 개별 사용자나 개체가 아닌 전체 단위로 무작위로 치료(A) 또는 통제(B) 조건에 할당하는 방식입니다. 이 접근법은 개별 수준 무작위 할당 시 치료 효과가 개체 간에 퍼져나갈 수 있거나, 개입이 그룹 수준에서 전달되어야 할 때 사용됩니다.
