Quality Function Deployment — House of Quality

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) er en struktureret metode til at oversætte kundernes behov — "kundens stemme" — til specifikke tekniske krav på ethvert trin af produkt- eller serviceudvikling. QFD, der oprindeligt stammer fra Japan i 1960'erne, anvender et matrixbaseret værktøj kaldet House of Quality (kvalitetshuset) til at synliggøre kundernes prioriteter, koble dem til ingeniørparametre, afdække kompromiser og fastholde fokus på, hvad kunderne reelt værdsætter gennem hele designprocessen.
