Kontrolskema — Statistisk procesovervågning med Shewhart-skemaer
Et kontrolskema er en tidsseriegraf med statistisk afledte øvre og nedre kontrolgrænser, der adskiller den naturlige, tilfældige variation i en proces (fælles årsag) fra usædvanlig, tildelbar variation (speciel årsag). Kontrolskemaer, der blev opfundet af Walter Shewhart hos Bell Labs i 1924, forbliver det grundlæggende værktøj inden for statistisk proceskontrol og bruges på tværs af fremstillings-, sundheds-, software- og serviceindustrier til at overvåge, om en proces forbliver stabil og forudsigelig over tid.
