Simuleringsassisteret statistisk proceskontrol (SA-SPC) kombinerer computersimulering — typisk Monte Carlo- eller diskret-event-simulering — med klassiske SPC-metoder til at designe, teste og kalibrere kontrolkort og overvågningsordninger før eller sideløbende med implementering på en reel produktionsproces. I stedet for udelukkende at stole på analytiske antagelser i lukket form, bruger SA-SPC simulerede data til at evaluere kortets ydeevne under realistiske, ofte ikke-normale procesforhold.
