Firefly Algorithm — การหาค่าเหมาะสมที่สุดด้วยการเลียนแบบแสงชีวภาพ
Firefly Algorithm (FA) ซึ่ง Xin-She Yang นำเสนอในปี 2008 และตีพิมพ์อย่างเป็นทางการในปี 2010 เป็นอภิวิธี (metaheuristic) แบบฝูงที่ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากธรรมชาติ ซึ่งจำลองพฤติกรรมการดึงดูดด้วยแสงชีวภาพของหิ่งห้อย โซลูชันที่เป็นไปได้แต่ละรายการเปรียบเสมือนหิ่งห้อยหนึ่งตัว ซึ่งความสว่างของมันแสดงถึงค่าฟังก์ชันวัตถุประสงค์ หิ่งห้อยที่สลัวกว่าจะเคลื่อนที่เข้าหาหิ่งห้อยที่สว่างกว่าด้วยแรงดึงดูดที่ลดลงตามระยะทาง ซึ่งจะนำพาฝูงไปสู่ค่าเหมาะสมที่สุดโดยไม่ต้องใช้ข้อมูลความชัน
