Kipimo cha Ushirikishwaji wa Mtumiaji (CIS), kilichobuniwa na Zaichkowsky (1985), hupima kiwango ambacho mtumiaji anajisikia kuwekeza binafsi katika bidhaa, chapa, au uamuzi wa ununuzi. Hapo awali, chombo hiki kilikuwa na vipengele 20 vilivyotekeleza dhana ya 'umuhimu binafsi', CIS iliboreshwa na kuwa vipengele 10 mnamo 1994 (Orodha Iliyorekebishwa ya Ushirikishwaji Binafsi, PII), ikidumisha kipimo cha ushirikishwaji wa mtumiaji katika vipimo vingi vya kisemantiki.
