Pirsonov koeficijent korelacije

Pirsonov koeficijent korelacije proizvoda i momenata (r) je parametarska mera pravca i jačine linearne povezanosti između dve neprekidne varijable. Uveden od strane Karla Pirsona 1895. godine, on ostaje najčešće korišćena bivariate korelaciona statistika u društvenim, zdravstvenim i prirodnim naukama. Koeficijent se kreće od −1 (savršena negativna linearna veza) do +1 (savršena pozitivna), pri čemu 0 ukazuje na odsustvo linearne povezanosti.
