Mašinsko učenje-potpomognuto pozivanje vrhova ChIP-seq proširuje klasično statističko otkrivanje vrhova pomoću nadgledanih ili nenadgledanih modela učenja koji razlikuju prave lokacije vezivanja proteina od pozadinske buke. Obučavanjem na sastavu sekvence, profilima pokrivenosti očitavanja i epigenomskim karakteristikama, ove metode poboljšavaju osetljivost i specifičnost u poređenju sa pristupima zasnovanim na pragovima, posebno u kontekstima niske jačine signala ili heterogenog hromatina.
