Ekvivalenstest (TOST — Two One-Sided Tests)

Ekvivalenstesten som bruker Two One-Sided Tests (TOST)-prosedyren er en parametrisk hypotesetest utformet for å demonstrere at forskjellen mellom to gruppegjennomsnitt faller innenfor et forhåndsspesifisert ekvivalensområde ±Δ. Introdusert av Schuirmann (1987) i konteksten av farmasøytisk bioekvivalens, reverserer TOST logikken til klassisk nullhypotesetesting: i stedet for å prøve å oppdage en forskjell, gir den positive bevis for likhet.
