Interpretive Reflexive Thematic Analysis past Braun en Clarkes' reflexive thematic analysis framework expliciet binnen een interpretivistische epistemologische houding. De analist beschouwt betekenis als mede-geconstrueerd tussen onderzoeker en data, plaatst de eigen subjectieve positionering op de voorgrond gedurende het coderings- en themaproces, en produceert theoretisch rijke beschrijvingen van deelnemersperspectieven in plaats van oppervlakkige inhoudssamenvattingen.
