Polytome Verkennende Factoranalyse
Polytome verkennende factoranalyse breidt standaard VFA uit naar geordende categorische (Likert-type) responsgegevens door de Pearson-correlatiematrix te vervangen door een polychorische correlatiematrix. Het herstelt de latente continue variabele die elk polytome item wordt verondersteld te weerspiegelen, wat resulteert in nauwkeurigere factorladingen en beter gedefinieerde factorstructuren dan wanneer ordinale scores als continu worden behandeld.
