Ruimtelijke Matching Schatter
De Spatial Matching Estimator schat causale behandelingseffecten door elke behandelde geografische eenheid te koppelen aan één of meer vergelijkbare, niet-behandelde eenheden in de buurt, gebruikmakend van de aanname dat eenheden die ruimtelijk dichtbij elkaar liggen vergelijkbare ongeobserveerde kenmerken delen. Door matches te beperken tot een geografische buurt of te wegen op basis van ruimtelijke nabijheid, controleert de methode voor locatie-specifieke confounders die standaard matching negeert.
