차등 서비스 (DiffServ)
DiffServ는 네트워크에서 확장 가능하고 클래스 기반의 서비스 차별화를 제공하는 QoS 아키텍처입니다. IETF(1998)에서 도입한 DiffServ는 IP 헤더의 차등 서비스 코드 포인트(DSCP)로 패킷을 표시하여 라우터가 표시를 기반으로 홉별 동작(PHB)을 적용할 수 있도록 합니다. 흐름당 리소스를 예약하는 IntServ와 달리 DiffServ는 상태 비저장(stateless)이며 인터넷 규모로 확장 가능합니다. DiffServ는 ISP 및 엔터프라이즈 네트워크에서 주요 QoS 메커니즘으로 남아 있습니다.
