다집단 문항 반응 함수는 측정 대상 특질의 수준에 따라 응답자를 일치시킨 후, 세 개 이상의 서로 다른 집단(예: 성별, 민족, 국가) 간에 검사 또는 척도 문항이 동등하게 기능하는지를 조사합니다. 집단 간에 다르게 작동하는 문항은 공정한 측정과 타당한 점수 비교를 위협합니다.
