多項式回帰
多項式回帰は、説明変数の二乗項やそれ以上の高次項を含めることで非線形関係をモデル化する回帰手法であり、応答曲面分析の中核的なツールである。Montgomery, Peck, and Vining の『Introduction to Linear Regression Analysis』（2012年）で展開されているように、適合する曲線が曲がっていても、パラメータに関しては線形性を保つ。
