多変量探索的量的研究
多変量探索的量的研究とは、研究者が、探索的因子分析、クラスター分析、主成分分析などの手法を用いて、事前に定められた構造モデルを課すことなく、複数の量的変数を同時に検討し、データ内の潜在的なパターン、自然な集団、または基盤となる次元を検出するデザインである。その目的は、仮説の検証よりも発見とパターンの認識にある。
