Statička analiza koda

Statička analiza koda automatski ispituje izvorni kod bez izvršavanja, otkrivajući potencijalne pogreške, sigurnosne ranjivosti, loše kodne prakse (code smells) i kršenja stila. Pionirski rad Englera i Pugha (2001.) doveo je do razvoja alata za automatsku analizu koji skeniraju baze kodova u velikom opsegu, identificirajući obrasce nedostataka brže od ručnog pregleda. Organizacije integriraju statičku analizu u svoje cjevovode neprekidne integracije (continuous integration) kako bi spriječile nedostatke u ranoj fazi.
