二阶可靠度方法 (SORM) 是 FORM 的一种扩展,它通过考虑设计点处极限状态面的曲率来改进失效概率估计。SORM 由 Fiessler、Neumann 和 Rackwitz 于 1979 年提出,在保持计算效率的同时,为非线性失效面提供了更精确的近似。当 FORM 的精度不足时,它已成为标准的改进方法。
