岩石薄片分析

岩石薄片分析是对岩石薄片进行的显微镜检查,以确定矿物成分、粒度、结构和成岩蚀变。该方法由 Sorby 于 1858 年开创,至今仍是理解岩性的黄金标准,并已发展到包括定量图像分析和阴极发光(cathodoluminescence)。岩石薄片数据是井测(well-log)解释的基石,可验证地震速度模型,并约束古环境和成岩历史。
