eDNA元条形码

环境DNA(eDNA)元条形码通过对生物体释放的短DNA片段进行测序,来检测和识别环境样本(水、土壤、空气)中存在的物种。该方法由Taberlet及其同事(2012年)开发,彻底改变了生物多样性监测:无需捕获、观察或复杂的设计即可对物种进行调查。元条形码技术可测序数百万个DNA片段,对读数进行分类学鉴定,并将其分配到物种。该方法具有非侵入性、快速且成本效益高,能够进行大规模生物多样性调查和隐存或稀有物种的早期检测。
