功能多样性量化了群落中物种的功能性状(形态、生理、行为)的范围及其丰度分布。由 Mouillot 及其同事(2008年)开发,功能多样性指数衡量不同物种在生态角色和资源利用策略上的差异。与物种丰富度(物种数量)不同,功能多样性捕捉了生态策略的广度,并可预测生态系统功能和稳定性。
