ทฤษฎีฐานรากเชิงวิพากษ์เชิงสรรค์นิยม (Critical constructivist grounded theory) เป็นการผสมผสานทฤษฎีฐานรากเชิงสรรค์นิยมของ Kathy Charmaz เข้ากับมุมมองเชิงทฤษฎีวิพากษ์ (critical theoretical lens) ที่ชัดเจน — ซึ่งโดยทั่วไปมักเป็นกรอบแนวคิดสตรีนิยม ทฤษฎีเชื้อชาติวิพากษ์ หรือแนวคิดแบบ Freireian — เพื่อสร้างทฤษฎีที่ไม่เพียงอธิบายกระบวนการทางสังคมเท่านั้น แต่ยังตรวจสอบความสัมพันธ์เชิงอำนาจ ความไม่เท่าเทียมเชิงโครงสร้าง และพลังทางอุดมการณ์ที่หล่อหลอมประสบการณ์ของผู้เข้าร่วมวิจัย ผลลัพธ์ที่ได้คือทฤษฎีฐานรากที่มีเจตนาเพื่อการปลดปล่อย
