การวิเคราะห์เครือข่ายหลายชั้นแบบมีทิศทาง (Directed multiplex network analysis) เป็นแบบจำลองระบบที่โหนดชุดเดียวกันเชื่อมต่อกันด้วยความสัมพันธ์แบบมีทิศทาง (ไม่สมมาตร) หลายประเภทข้ามเลเยอร์ที่แตกต่างกัน เช่น การไหลของการอ้างอิง (citation flows) การแพร่กระจายของข้อมูล (information cascades) หรือลำดับชั้นของอำนาจ (authority hierarchies) ที่ดำรงอยู่พร้อมกัน เป็นการขยายการวิเคราะห์เครือข่ายหลายชั้น (multiplex network analysis) โดยรักษาทั้งเอกลักษณ์ของเลเยอร์และทิศทางของเส้นเชื่อม ทำให้ได้ข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับโครงสร้างและพลวัตที่สมบูรณ์ยิ่งขึ้น
