Matchad nästlad fall-kontrollstudie
En matchad nästlad fall-kontrollstudie är en effektiv observationsdesign inbäddad i en definierad kohort. När en deltagare utvecklar det intressanta utfallet (ett fall), samplas ett litet antal kontroller från de som fortfarande löper risk vid det ögonblicket och matchas till fallet på nyckelvariabler som ålder, kön eller kalendertid. Denna design bevarar den underliggande kohortens temporala struktur samtidigt som kostnaden för exponeringsmätning kraftigt reduceras.
