Kružna dicroism (CD)

Spektroskopija kružne dicroism (CD) meri diferencijalnu apsorpciju levo i desno kružno polarizovane svetlosti od strane optički aktivnih molekula, posebno proteina i nukleinskih kiselina. Uvedena od strane Greenfilda i Fasmana 1969. godine, CD je brza, ne-destruktivna tehnika za karakterizaciju sekundarne strukture (alfa-heliks, beta-list), praćenje prelaza savijanja proteina i procenu konformacionih promena u odgovoru na pH, temperaturu ili vezivanje liganda.
