Statistika jaza

Statistika jaza, koju su razvili Tibshirani, Walther i Hastie 2001. godine, predstavlja principijelnu statističku metodu za određivanje optimalnog broja klastera u skupu podataka. Ona upoređuje opserviranu sumu kvadrata unutar klastera sa očekivanom vrednošću pod nul-hipotezom odsustva klaster strukture, pružajući teorijski utemeljen pristup izboru broja klastera.
