Monte Carlo Analysis of Semiconductor Process Variations

U naprednim poluprovodničkim čvorovima (28nm i niže), male varijacije u proizvodnji izazivaju primetne promene u performansama uređaja. Umesto testiranja svake moguće kombinacije (eksponencijalno složeno), Monte Karlo nasumično uzorkuje iz distribucije varijacija: generišu se slučajne varijacije, simulira se ponašanje kola, prikupljaju se statistike. Sa hiljadama uzoraka, pojavljuje se distribucija ishoda. Ključni uvid je da ponovljeno slučajno uzorkovanje otkriva statistička svojstva bez iscrpnog nabrajanja.
