Sledovanie entít naprieč dokumentmi, formálne známe ako rozhodovanie o koreferencii naprieč dokumentmi, identifikuje a spája všetky odkazy na tú istú entitu v reálnom svete rozptýlené v kolekcii dokumentov. Metóda, zakorenená v evaluačnom rámci B3 zavedenom Bagga a Baldwina (1998) a podstatne vylepšená neurónovým spoločným modelom Barhoma et al. (2019), vytvára zhluky entít, ktoré presahujú hranice dokumentov — čo umožňuje porozumenie viacerým dokumentom, napĺňanie vedomostných báň a analýzu entít v celom korpuse.
