Akaike informasjonkriterium (AIC)

Akaike informasjonkriterium er et informasjonsteoretisk mål for modellseleksjon som balanserer tilpasningsdyktighet mot modellkompleksitet. Introdusert av Hirotugu Akaike i 1974, estimerer AIC den relative kvaliteten av modeller for et gitt datasett, og straffer ekstra parametere for å forhindre overtilpasning.
