Mendelsk randomisering

Mendelsk randomisering er en metode for å estimere kausale effekter av eksponeringer på utfall ved bruk av genetiske varianter som instrumentvariabler. Introdusert av George Davey Smith på 1990-tallet, utnytter den Mendels segregeringslov for å fjerne konfunderende skjevhet. Den har blitt en hjørnesteinsteknikk innen epidemiologisk kausal inferens.
