Interpretive Conversation Analysis
Klassieke conversatieanalyse (CA) behandelt gesproken taal als een zelforganiserend systeem en eist dat de analist zich nauw houdt aan wat deelnemers aantoonbaar oriënteren. Interpretatieve CA behoudt die sequentiële discipline, maar opent de analytische lens: de onderzoeker vraagt ook wat de interactie onthult over bredere sociale betekenissen, institutionele rollen of ideologisch werk. Beschouw het als het gebruik van de fijnmazige gereedschapskist van CA — beurtwisseling, aangrenzende paren, reparatie, voorkeur — als een microscoop, en stap dan terug om te interpreteren wat het organisme werkelijk doet in zijn sociale omgeving. De eigen interpretatieve horizon van de analist wordt erkend en ingebracht, niet opgeschort.
